Doomed'n Damned Crack

Updated: Mar 12, 2020

About This Game Doomed'n Damned is an action game based on retro/classic platform games from Arcades and 16 bit consoles, but revised to the HD era. The level design, characters, plot and difficulty have a lot of influence from the late 80s and early 90s games. The development and production is by arc-gen, an one man indie game studio. Features: - 16 Bit cheesy sense of humor - Epic boss fighting - Voice over dialogues - Challenging difficulty - Classic level design - Classic weapons and skills - Multiple path levels - Secret items and areas For more information: Twitter: https://twitter.com/arcgengames Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/arcgengames Doomed'n Damned website: http://www.doomedndamned.com/ 6d5b4406ea Title: Doomed'n DamnedGenre: Action, IndieDeveloper:Arc-genPublisher:Arc-genRelease Date: 13 Jul, 2015 Doomed'n Damned Crack It's a challenging platformer that has an old vibe to it. Would recommend this game if the creators didn't abandon this project. A bit cleaning up and it could be a good looking retro-ish platformer. But for the price and aesthetics, I wouldn't buy this game unless if it was on sale.. If you are no good at voice acting, and can't afford to get proper voice actors, then just leave the voices out completely; it's fine, the old games that this one claims to be inspired by didn't have voice overs anyway.I wasn't impressed by this game in any way. The visuals are not bad but the gameplay is basic and takes far too many cues from 'rage' games, throwing enemies and pitfalls at the player that they couldn't reasonably be expected to avoid without prior knowledge. The level design is run-of-the-mill and requires pixel perfect positioning to avoid damage from enemy attacks.Overall I just didn't find the game rewarding or enjoyable; I was sick of it within 20 minutes. There are plenty of these 'retro inspired' platformers on Steam and most of them are better and cheaper than this. Go play one of those instead.. Kudos to the developers for not choosing a retro pixel approach. Unfortunately that's the only redeeming decision.Voice acting is terrible - controller support is mismatched and incomplete. It's just not fun and doesn't compare well to the other 2D platformers in a horribly oversaturated market.. Holy hell is this game not worth your time. Your character controls, feels, and moves like a box. Your hitbox extends beyond the size of the character. It's clear when jumping and trying to fit through situations, you are simply a square or rectangle. The feel of this platformer is simply awful, and that is an absolutely critical thing to nail in this style of game. You don't need to play more than a few minutes to understand how awful this game feels. A double jump is nice, but everything is so stiff. This game insults classic 16-bit platformers by comparing itself to them. This is not on the same level, not even close.. Doomed n Damned is an old school action platformer which takes a great deal of its inspiration from ghosts n goblins. Control: Control in this game is simple, but very responsive. You have a jump\/double jump, alongside an attack button. If you press up + attack you use your sub weapon(like castlevania or ninja gaiden) It is simple but it works very well and I never ran into a scenario where I was killed due to unresponsive controls.Level design: When you load up the game you are greeted to a map, you start at the first level on the map and then the map branches off into 3 paths. Each path has 3 levels and then the map converges at the end. The first level has 3 different exits and each exit takes you to a different branching path. In order to beat the game you need to beat every level.Level design in this game is very good. The levels are pretty long, and most levels have different paths you can take to get to the end, the paths typically converge at the end but the different paths leave the player with room to explore and give you options on how you want to tackle the levels. There is also a nice variety of things to do in the levels, of course you have a few standard platformy levels, but you also get levels that have you riding a horse drawn carriage, riding an elevator while avoiding spikes, running from a huge unkillable monster and other things to keep it fresh. The challenge in this game is just right. You have 3 lives to beat each level, if you die all your lives, its back to the beginning. The game is not easy but it is not rage inducing hard either. You can't expect to beat every live on your first run but with a bit of practice nothing is insurmountable. Some levels end with a boss fight, the boss fights are probably the low point of the game for me. Some bosses have annoying unskippable, pre fight dialogue. Not bad the first time you fight but after you die you have to watch the dialogue every time which is incredibly frustrating. The bosses themselves range from fun to fight to incredibly stupid and boring, for the most part they are okay but a handful of bosses almost put me to sleep while fighting them.Overall, this is a very fun game, it took me 3 hrs to finish and for it's current price I feel you will get your moneys worth. If you are into retro games give this game a shot, the level design, control, and challenge are all just right.
